Updating From KCNET email To Turnkeymail Email

PLEASE NOTIFY EVERYONE OF YOUR NEW TURNKEYMAIL EMAIL ADDRESS


To notify everyone of your new email address, you will send one message to everyone at the same time.

In the subject line, type this: "Please make note of my new email address"

In the body of the message type: "I have changed my email address from yourusername@kcnet.com to yourusername@turnkeymail.com, please update your records, thank you."

Remember, you new username at turnkeymail.com is the same username you use at kcnet.com. Example: if your email address was mary@kcnet.com, your new email address is now mary@turnkeymail.com.

To include all the people from your entire address book in that email for Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook and Outlook Express, follow these simple instructions:
Start with a new message
Click on To:
Highlight all your contacts on the left
Click on the first contact
Hold down the Shift key
Click on the last contact (This will highlight all contacts)
Click on Bcc:
Now click OK.
Enter YOUR email address in the To: field
Compose your message
Finally, click Send

By following the above instructions, no one will see any of the addresses that you are sending the message to. This is a nice way to respect the privacy of the people you have email contact with.

PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS IN YOUR EMAIL PROGRAMS AND DEVICES


Your username is your full email address (e.g. john.doe@turnkeymail.com)

The incoming and outgoing server for POP/IMAP/SMTP is:
mail.turnkeymail.com

Standard Ports:
POP 110 (TLS supported)
IMAP 143 (TLS supported)
SMTP 587 (TLS supported) (The default port is 25 and must be changed)

SSL Ports:
POP-SSL - 995
IMAP-SSL - 993
SMTP-SSL - 465

SMTP Authentication MUST be enabled (instructions below)

INSTRUCTIONS TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS IN YOUR EMAIL CLIENT


Outlook Express:

Click "tools"
Click "accounts"
Click the "mail" tab and highlight your current email address (if not already highlighted)
Click "properties"
Under the "General" tab, type in your new email address.
After entering your new email address, click on the "apply" button.
Next, click on the "servers" tab
On the "incoming mail server" line, type: mail.turnkeymail.com
On the "outgoing mail server" line, type: mail.turnkeymail.com
The "Account name" will be your email address.
Put a checkmark in the box next to the line that says: "my server requires authentication"
Click the "apply" button.
Click the "ok" button.
You're now setup with your new email account.

Click "file" in the upper left corner
Click "account settings"
Click on your email address to highlight it and then click "change"
On the "incoming mail server" line, type: mail.turnkeymail.com
On the "outgoing mail server" line, type: mail.turnkeymail.com
In the "username" field, type your full new email address.
There is no need to change your password since your password has not changed.
Click the "next" button and the email program will test your email.
If it successfully completes the test you can then press the "finish" button.
You're all setup with your new email account.

Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail -- click HERE for PDF instructions with images

From the main screen right-click on your email account on the left side and click on "Properties".
Select the "General" tab
Under the "General" tab, type in your new email address.
Click the "apply" button
Click the "servers" tab
On the "incoming mail server" line, type: mail.turnkeymail.com
On the "outgoing mail server" line, type: mail.turnkeymail.com
On the line that says, "E-mail username", type your full new email address.
Click "apply" and click "ok"
You're all setup with your new email account.
